  • This datatset contains a daily summary of precipitation and air temperature data collected at standard U.S. climatological service instruments located on USDA Jornada Experimental Range Headquarters. This dataset is part of the GHCN (Global Historical Climatology Network), which is an integrated database of daily climate summaries from land surface stations across the globe. Like its monthly counterpart (GHCN-Monthly) , GHCN-Daily is comprised of daily climate records from numerous sources that have been integrated and subjected to a common suite of quality assurance reviews. This data collection is ongoing and is summarized daily.

  • This data package is released to the "public domain" under Creative Commons CC0 1.0 "No Rights Reserved" (see: https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/).
