  • This dataset contains multiple geospatial layers that describe historical vegetation communities and conditions in the Jornada Basin of southern New Mexico U.S.A. The data were derived from USDA and earlier field surveys, as well as other sources. Spatial information and attributes in this dataset reflect the published information for the study (Gibbens et al. 2005) to the extent known, but the data are under review and should be considered provisional at this time.
