  • This dataset contains multiple geospatial layers that describe soils in the Jornada Basin, and surrounding areas of southern New Mexico U.S.A. The data were derived from Soil Conservation Service surveys in 1918, 1968, and 1980, as well as other sources. Spatial information and attributes in this dataset reflect the published information for the study (Monger 2006) to the extent known, but the data are under review and should be considered provisional at this time.
