  • As a complement to an existing seasonal long-term lake monitoring program created to document ecological health, the high-frequency time series Muskegon Lake Observatory was established in 2011 and continues to date. The observatory consists of a buoy system that continuously gathers water quality, hydrology, and meteorological data during the ice-free period (April-December) each year.
