  • Air Quality Data:

This data is derived from Purple Air; an Air Quality monitor that measures airborne particulate matter (PM). Particulate matter describes solid particles suspended in air; through organic and inorganic particles. PurpleAir sensors use laser particle counters to count the number of particles by particle sizes (μm), and use the count data to calculate mass concentrations of PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10.

This data set represents one monitor of multiple monitors deployed throughout Environmental Justice neighborhoods in the Charleston Tri-County area in South Carolina, (USA). This data includes 15 minutes averages and will be an ongoing data set that will be updated once a year. The data set starts in March 2022.
