Colombia signed the National Soil Partnership in 2019. That partnership is conformed by different national institutions: Ministry of the Environment Colombia, Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (IDEAM), Unidad de Planificación Rural Agropecuaria (UPRA), Soil Science Society of Colombia, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Colombian Corporation for Agricultural Research (AGROSAVIA). Following the guidelines from the Global Soil Partnership, it has five pillars of action: Soil management, awareness raising, research, information and data, and harmonization. As part of the fourth pillar, AGROSAVIA joined to the IGAC, have generated different kind of data and information, such as salinity or potential carbon sequestration. On this opportunity AGROSAVIA has wanted to generate new data and information related to particle size fractions.
