Abstract:

High-frequency specific sensor data from a YSI 600 OMS Optical Monitoring System (every 15 minutes) and Sontek IQ (every 10 minutes) in a meadow reach at White Clay Creek from February 2016 to the end of 2018. Funded by NSF and DEB as part of the LTREB grant to study the recovery of stream ecosystem structure and function during reforestation, Stroud Water Research Center.

Methods and protocols used in the collection of this data package
Description:

YSI 600 OMS (Optical Monitoring System) – Measures Specific Conductance, Water Temperature, Depth, Turbidity, Conductivity, and pressure. A reading is taken every 15 minutes. Data downloaded directly from sonde (Download frequency is variable). Monitoring site visits are typically weekly, with manual cleaning of the sensor as needed. Sontek IQ - Measures physical parameters of the stream (depth, velocity, pressure). These parameters are used to calculate discharge and section area of the stream.
