Methods and protocols used in the collection of this data package
Description:

We conducted four seasons of plant surveys at 17 water sources at Mpala Research Centre. Sites spanned a range of abiotic conditions, including variable soil types, mean annual precipitation, and prior rainfall. In the study, we analyse the differing effects of herbivore impacts on vegetation around water as a function of abiotic context. Detailed methods are provided in the parent publication 'The effects of herbivore aggregations at water sources on savanna plants differ across soil and climate gradients'.
