General Information
Data Package:
Local Identifier:edi.937.4
Title:Flume Erosion Testing Data of Root-Permeated and Organic Matter Amended Soil Samples Using Three Streambank Boundary Conditions.
Alternate Identifier:DOI PLACE HOLDER
Abstract:
The data published here is expected to accompany one publicly available dissertation (Chapter 6 of dissertation) and one separate journal publication. Once published and available online, the metadata will be updated with the relevant article information. The journal article/dissertation will have additional information regarding the published datasets and the methods used to collect the data. All data collected from these studies, and the accompanying Acoustic Doppler Profiler MATLAB files, are presented here. Journal Article title: Artificial Roots and Soil Microorganisms Increase Soil Resistance to Fluvial Erosion

Data Table Name:
Chapter6_Shear-ErosionData_2022
Description:
Reynolds shear stress, turbulent kinetic energy, and erosion rate data for all soil samples. The sample was split into three subsections and eroded at a different flow rate in the flume. The erosion rate of each subsample was then averaged and reported here. Each subsample was eroded in a recirculating flume for 10 minutes, or until all of the sample was completely eroded, which ever came first.
Data Table Name:
Chapter6_AvgErosion-Soil-RootData_2022
Description:
Erosion, extracellular polymeric substances, aggregate stability, soil organic carbon, plant root density, and other soil/water property information for all soil samples. The sample was split into three subsections and eroded at a different flow rate in the flume. The erosion rate of each subsample was then averaged and reported here. Each subsample was eroded in a recirculating flume for 10 minutes, or until all of the sample was completely eroded, which ever came first.
Other Name:
