Abstract:

Solar radiation at station 1 began in July 2014. Two collocated LiCor sensors were installed at Station 1. The 15 minute record for Headquarters begins in 2018 with a single sensor

These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and maintained by the USDA Forest Service, Northern Research Station.

Methods and Protocols

These methods, instrumentation and/or protocols apply to all data in this dataset:

Methods and protocols used in the collection of this data package
Description:

In April, 2018 the Station 1 LiCor sensor was exchanged for an Apogee SP230 light sensor. Solar radiation is sampled once per minute and reported at 15 minute intervals, and reported in W/m2. In April 2018 the LiCor sensor at HQ was also replaced with an Apogee SP230. From this point onward 15 minute solar radiation data, sampled in the same fashion as station1, are available from HQ.
