Data package contains sets of photographs taken at 77 forest monitoring plots across Sagehen Creek Field Station. These plots are a subset of 500 forest monitoring plots established in 2004 and 2005 for the purpose of determining strategically-placed area treatments (SPLATS) that impede forest fire progression (Valliant 2008, Doctoral Dissertation). Sites were photographed at various intervals before and after prescribed forestry treatments. Two major types of treatment occurred and additional activity is ongoing. In Summer/Fall 2016, hand thinning and mastication was performed on a subset of plots, and in Summer/Fall 2018, logging was performed on another subset of plots. Some plots received both sets of treatments, some received one, and others received none. Information about photo dates and treatment status can be found in the plot information csv file. This monitoring is ongoing through the Forest Service Monitoring Project.
